In our last official communication for 2019, we have some curriculum news for our school in 2020. After consultation with Governing Council and staff, our school will be studying a new language next year - Auslan. While Auslan is not necessarily a verbally spoken language, like any additional language it enhances the learning of English and other first languages. It is also a great opportunity to learn a new way of communicating and provides wonderful skills for employment. We are very excited about this new learning for next year.

Year 1/2 team - Mrs. Joanna Idzikowski, Ms. Sandra Howlett, Ms. Alena Birss and Mrs. Carol Thomas

Year 3/4 team - Mrs. Lauren Stanley, Ms. Mel Yates, Mrs. Alyssa Rigney, Ms. Rose Knight, Ms. Rachel Wickham and Ms. Elira Dixon

Year 4/5 team - Mr. Nigel Branson and Ms. Christine MacLean

Year 5/6 team - Ms. Nicole Currer and Mr. Chris Burns

Year 6/7 team - Mrs. Gerry Lewis and Ms. Jo Power

Specialist team - Mr. Vance Smith (Science), Ms. Deb Hampton (HASS and Teacher Librarian), Ms. Sarah Pearce (Music), Mr. Michael Sboro (PE) and Ms. Rose Knight (Auslan).

We are still waiting to confirm staffing for our fabulous SSO team and hope to do this before the end of the year.
