We are planning for staffing for 2021 and would like to know if your child/ren will be leaving Pimpala PS at the end of the year. We are aware that some families may buy a new home, or change where they rent, others may consider private schools, whilst there are also those who may be starting Year 7 at high school at either Wirreanda Secondary School or Mitcham Girls High School. It would help us immensely to have this information as soon as possible.
Although it is quite early in the year, we appreciate you letting us know this information now.
As things start to get back to normal and restrictions are easing across the state to a minor degree, most students have returned to school where we are still following the following protocols:
- Students and staff are encouraged to wash their hands regularly
- Students and staff instructed to cough or sneeze into their elbow
- Extra cleaning of door handles and surfaces during each school day
- Extra cleaning of door handles and surfaces after school each day
- Cleaning of playgrounds and courtyard toys each morning before recess time
- Parents requested not to enter classrooms before or after school
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to keep everyone safe.
Smith Family Learning For Life educational scholarships
The Smith Family has a target of 1800 students in their Learning for Life scholarship program in the Onkaparinga region, and at this stage has some availability for new families to come onto the scholarship program. Currently they support approximately 1700 students with the Learning For Life Scholarship.
This is a fantastic opportunity for families to have scholarship assistance for their child to assist with school related expenses, with $450 per year per student as well as be supported by the suite of programs run by The Smith Family that can support their education.

Hello!
Great news! We have noticed some really good things happening in the yard regarding the buddy benches, and we would just like to thank and acknowledge all the students who have made an effort and been kind to the students on the buddy benches. Thank you for being there for the students in our school who are having a difficult time. Your kindness helps us as it makes everyone feel welcome and safe here at school.
