This weeks 'Hot Reads' book 'Window' has been recommended by our year 4/5 teacher Mr Kemp. Here is why he has chosen this book.
"Jeannie Baker is an Australian author who creates collages to tell a story. I spent large amounts of my silent reading time in primary school studying Baker's art works, particularly Window, but also 'Where the Forest Meets the Sea.' I used to try to work out what the story was and find hidden treasures included in her collages. Ultimately, my favourite thing about Window is that as the environment changes drastically over the life of the boy, the story ends with hope. It is up to us how we make sure that happens."
We hope you enjoy Mr Kemp's chosen book and make time to visit our library and check out the display.
