We have had a busy few weeks with our students back in classes for two weeks.
It has been great to see the students and speak to them face to face.
The enthusiasm and motivation that we have seen from students the past few weeks has been inspiring.
Due to the vigilance from the community, students and staff we have had a very fortunate start to the year. I would personally like to thank you all for following the guidelines that we have put in place to keep everyone safe.
We have had some changes to guidelines from the beginning of this week which have allowed us to commence with choir, ukulele and after school sports.
Many of our guidelines will be continuing including:
- Adults must wear masks while on school grounds
- Students in Years 3-6 are strongly recommended to wear masks while indoors
- If students are showing symptoms of COVID-19 they must get a PCR test and remain away from school until they have a negative result and they are no longer symptomatic.
I look forward to seeing many of you online for our AGM on Wednesday, March 16. I strongly value the input from our community and encourage you to consider joining the Governing Council.

Pimpala Primary School is conducting its annual Easter Raffle as part of our major fundraising for the year. To make this a huge success can you please send donations of Easter Eggs or any other Easter goodies to the school from Tuesday, 1 March, 2022.
Easter falls at the very end of Term 1 this year so please help and bring your donations as soon as possible. Good Friday falls on 15 April and Easter Monday on the 18 April.
The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday, 13 April at school. Prizes will be sent home with students and other prize winners will be notified by phone. Due to COVID restrictions the usual Easter Raffle assembly will not take place.
Raffle tickets will be sent home soon.
Class of 2022 Commemorative Jumper
The last day to order and pay for the Class of 2022 Commemorative Uniform Jumper or Polo Shirt is Wednesday, 2nd March, 2022. Please see Helen in the Finance Office if you require a payment plan.
Each fortnight teachers identify students who have demonstrated the school values of Responsibility, Respect and Resilience to a high standard and nominate them to receive an award - usually at the Assembly. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions we have not had an assembly yet.
Awards are only awarded when the values are observed and deserved so some weeks there may be more and some weeks less awards.
Congratulations to the students who presented with an award on Friday, 25 February, 2022. Great work!

As you would be aware, there will be a State Election on Saturday, 19 March, 2022. Our school hall will be used as a polling booth so please come and vote here and while you are here please buy a sausage or bacon and egg roll. All proceeds will go to school fundraising.
We also need volunteers for our BBQ stall. If you have a spare hour or so anytime from 7:45am on Saturday, 19 March, please let the Administration staff know. Many hands make light work so please put your name down. All volunteers will need to be double vaccinated.
The Noarlunga Obedience Dog Club will also have an event here that day but on-site parking is strictly for those voting. Don't be put off as it looks busy. If you see cars parked outside of the grounds that's fine, just drive in and park, vote and get your sausage or bacon and egg roll here! We would love to see you and we appreciate your support.
