What an incredible pleasure I had last week, watching our Festival Choir as they warmed up for their external assessment. Their harmonies and their interpretation of the songs performed were beautiful - goose bump material!

The feedback from the assessment of our choir was incredibly positive.

Your singing was clear and confident... your part work very solid.
Dynamics/expression - really good work.
Your presentation and 'interesting faces' were terrific and voice projection was great.
Keep up the awesome work!"

Congratulations to every member and to Mrs. Rigney and Jenny for all your hard work, support, persistence and team work.

The choir's result was an A- which maintains a great tradition for Pimpala Primary School, as we achieved our first A last year.

This assessment is a precursor to the Festival of Music in September and there are other opportunities for individual students to audition for orchestra, troupe and solo positions. This year also sees the addition of Taiko drumming as an accompaniment to the choir and there will be auditions for these positions in the coming weeks.

Congratulations also to the 31 students who represented our school last week at the SAPSASA Athletics Day. A special acknowledgement must go to Josh P, Bella Z, Heidi G and Zemes H who all achieved places in their respective events and now go on to the State Day for Onkaparinga North. Thank you to Deb Kemp, Ms. Dixon, Emmerson White, Mr. Sboro and all our parents for your support in making the day such a success.
