Due to COVID-19 restrictions volunteering at school has been limited to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and school soccer. We are very grateful for all of our volunteers knowing that a number of our programs couldn't proceed without you. However, two members of our school community stood tall last year and filled gaps to help make sure that the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program could proceed for all classes and that school soccer could go ahead, in a COVID-19 compliant, yet fun way for the students and their families. 

Both of these people, Darryl Baker and Graham Miles were nominated for the Amanda Rishworth 2021 Southern Suburbs Volunteer Service Awards which were  presented by Amanda Rishworth, MP, Member for Kingston and Bryce Gibbs, AFL player.   

Graham Miles managed the school soccer program including as a facilitator, attended association meetings, provided the fixtures information, organised the BBQ and also coached a team.   

Darryl started assisting in the SAKG program with his daughter's class for 3 weeks at the beginning of Term 1 and then continued to assist with the program for many other classes for the remainder of the year. Darryl also helped out in the Canteen when they were short and for special lunches.
