On Thursday 30th May 2019, we have planned an excursion to attend part of the Dream BIG Children’s Festival in Adelaide.   As part of our excursion students will be able to check out their artwork on display in the Adelaide Festival Theatre that artist in residence, Elyas Alavi created with students. This term Elyas introduced students to various painting techniques whilst they explored the use different materials to create beautiful artworks.

Students will also attend a fascinating hands on workshop called Co-Investigators of Creativity in the SAHMRI building where they will learn how art can be a powerful tool for changing the way we think and feel.  After lunch they will attend an hour long performance called Robot Song, a production that incorporates live animation and video into an interactive performance about a robotic hand that learns to feel. 

On the day students will be leaving by bus from school at 9.00am and will return to school at around 2.45pm.  The cost for the excursion will be $13.00 per student, which covers the entry fee for the performance and the bus cost, which has been heavily subsidised, courtesy of the Dream BIG Festival organisers.
