This year is the first for Pimpala Primary School trialling NAPLAN online.  It has not been without hiccups, and the first few days were definitely very trying for everyone involved, particularly our students.  To their credit, all of our students persevered and demonstrated strength in our School Values of Excellence, Responsibility, Communication and Respect.  We still have this week to complete the online process and should receive our data earlier, as a result. A big thank you to Mrs. Finlay Smith for her skilful problem solving and ability to remain calm under pressure when things have not gone to plan.

Next week is Reconciliation Week. This year's focus is 'Grounded in Truth: Walk Together in Courage.'  Each class will be participating in a range of activities to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore what we can contribute to promoting reconciliation in Australia under the guidance of our Aboriginal Education teacher, Ms. Yates.  We look forward to seeing some of the activities and work completed during the week, in the coming newsletters.
