Early in Term 4 we will start asking for donations of large ladies handbags and toiletry items to put in them, to support the It's In The Bag charity - which supports homeless women.
Most of these women are homeless as a result of domestic violence and often leave the home situation with only the clothes they are standing in. These bags provide a element of dignity to the women, providing them with the basic necessities.
Children are also often a victim of the same situations so we want to support them too. We will also be collecting backpacks and filling them with items to help ease the stress of the situation eg books, colouring in books and pencils, games, puzzles, comics, deck of cards, dice. Please use your imagination - what would help your child if they were in this unfortunate situation.
Our community cares so please help where you can. A little means a lot!
Thank you.
