From the Principal

Four of our teachers are retiring this year - all with significant years of service to the Education Department:

Peter Lucas - 47 years

Susan Banks -38 years

Neil Lohmeyer - 36 years

Pam Ryles - 35 years

We want to take this time to acknowledge and appreciate their endeavours at Pimpala Primary School over many years and other previous schools. We wish them every happiness in their retirement years.

Congratulations Peter, Susan, Neil and Pam - your experience, competence and friendship will be missed.

We also want to say goodbye to Erin Anear, our Student Wellbeing Leader who has won a position as Asssistant Principal at Reynella East College.  Congratulations Erin.  Erin has been at Pimpala PS for 2 years and has provided a wonderful effective service for our students.  We wish Erin all the best for her bright new future.

Congratulations to Michael Sboro who has won the role of Student Wellbeing Leader for the first five weeks of term, while the position is being advertised next year.  Henry Carey will take Michael's place during this time.

We also want to acknowledge and thank the contract teachers who have worked at Pimpala PS this year but will be leaving us for greener pastures: Aaron Collier, Tegan Files and Trudi Cole.  Thank you also to our regular TRTs - Alina Flink and Theano Karkafiris.

Special thanks to our temporary SSOs for your great work this year.  We are hopeful of confirming employment opportunites early next year.

While we will have a few changes for next year, we are really excited about our team of educators at our school and the year ahead.

Congratulations to all our Year 6 and Year 7  students who will be going to high school next year. All of the graduates looked amazing and gave excellent speeches at the Graduation Ceremony on Thursday night.  We wish you all the very best for the future.

During the holidays the junior primary boys toilet floor and cublicles will be refurbished. Asbestos removal will be undertaken on Saturday, 4th Januaryto facilitate this, so please do not come on site that day.  Additionally, there will be some significant works undertaken to our storm water system commencing next week.  These interim works will be completed before the end of the holidays.  The balance of the hydaulics replacement will take place during the April school holidays next year.

Have a safe and happy holiday and see you all next year!
