We have passed the middle of the year and the official shortest day or Winter Solstice occurred on Sunday 21 June.  After we return from a well deserved two week break for Term 2, we should notice the days starting to become a little warmer and longer, with more sunlight hours.

Unfortunately the end of this term means we are farewelling a number of staff as they move on to new horizons.  One of our SSOs, Nathan Adams will be starting a full time contract at McLaren Vale Primary School and our PE and Year 6/7 teacher Henry Carey will be moving on to contract work across a number of different sites. We wish them both the very best of luck and know they will be wonderful additions to their new schools.

In other internal changes Mrs. Belinda Finlay-Smith will return from Maternity Leave as our Deputy Principal, Mr. Richard Kemp will act as our Wellbeing Leader and Mr. Michael Sboro will return to his role as our PE and Year 6/7 teacher.  I want to acknowledge the incredible focus and professionalism that both Michael and Richard have brought to their roles in Semester 1 and thank them profusely for their leadership skills, flexibility and humour.

I am looking forward to spending time these holidays with my favourite sidekick, my husband.  We are planning to explore some more of this beautiful state and check out some of its features.
