On the 25^th of August, the Senior netball girls played in round 2 of the School Sport SA knockout Competition. Winning results would see them progress to the next stage, finals at Priceline arena.

The first of two games was against Happy Valley Primary. A tightly contested 1^st quarter saw Pimpala lead 4-3 at the first break. From there, the girls took control of the game with strong defensive acts and sharp shooting. Jasmine and Shaylee were rock solid in stopping Happy Valleys shooters, and kick starting our attacks by forcing turnovers with their excellent pressure and rebounding. Maddy T was active playing in Centre, creating deflections and running hard all game. Emma made her mark on the match with consistent and accurate shooting. The final score, Pimpala finishing on top 29-8.

The 2^nd and final game saw Pimpala face Mclaren Flat Primary. Both schools having beaten Happy Valley, meant that the winner of the final game would progress to the finals. Pimpala rose to the occasion, getting on top in all facets of the game. Ayrlia was strong playing Goal Keeper. Cejay, Chelsea and Abby played a great game through the mid court, linking up the defence and shooters. Lily grew in confidence throughout the game and Maddy C played well in a new role. Another strong performance from Pimpala saw the girls victor 29-11.

Pimpala proceeding to the finals on Thursday week 10 (24/9) at Priceline Arena where they will compete against 5 other schools from across Adelaide. An extremely exciting time ahead as this is the first time Pimpala will participate in a knockout finals day since Mr.Smith had hair on his head!
