Welcome to Week 8 of Term 3 and Happy Fathers' Day to all our dads, granddads and father figures for yesterday. We ran a Fathers' Day competition for our students and asked them to create something as a dedication. The creation could be written, drawn, built or composed - the only rules were it had to be original and be the work of the creator.  We had an amazing range of entries, so many that we had three runner up prizes and the winner. The runners up were Xzander, Ava and Anna and the winner was Jacinta who earnt her dad a book and a bucket of Maltesers.  Thank you to all of our students for entering and all our of our dads for the important roles you have in our lives.

We have some short term staffing changes - congratulations to Ms. Christine MacLean is acting in the position of Wellbeing Leader in Mr. Richard Kemp's absence who is acting as Deputy Principal at Coorara Primary School for the remainder of the term. We welcome Ms. Lauren Whitbread who is teaching Ms. MacLean's Year 4/5 class for the remainder of Term 3 and Ms. Katy Abbott is working in Year 3/4 Yates class for the remainder of Term while Ms. Mel Yates is absent.  Both Lauren and Katy are familiar with Pimpala Primary School, the students and the school routines.

It is disappointing that our School Closure Day this day does not allow us to attend The Adelaide Show but we have a 'Pimpala Show Bag' to give away anyway. To win, please send through the best item you have ever received in a show bag to  dl.1059.info@schools.sa.edu.au or drop your entry into the Administration Office. Entries must be submitted by 9.30am this Thursday September 10, 2020 to be considered and the winning entry will be selected by a panel of guest judges.  The contents of the Pimpala Show Bag is a secret but there should be something in it to please everyone!
