From the Principal
By the end of this week, we will have a new shed in place between the transportables and the ball wall. This will be used to store items for our Loose Parts play area, which will complement the Nature Play space already created - thank you to Credit Union SA, Governing Council and POSHC for your financial support with this development.
We are still seeking donations from our community of any items in bulk which we can use as Loose Parts including, small pebbles, shells, leaves, pine cones, wood off cuts or any countable amount of small plastic items such as lids, beads or figurines.

Last Thursday a group of approximately 25 principals and directors from other schools in our partnership visited Pimpala Primary School. They were given opportunities to learn alongside some of our students in activities relating to phonemic awareness and oral language and were exposed to some teaching by our students in Auslan where they learnt some basic greetings and how to finger spell their own names. They were then able to enjoy the Art Gallery from Book Week in the Hall while our Festival Choir performed one of the songs from their repetoire - including a solo performance by Abi. Thank to you to all of our students and staff for making this a successful morning.
Last Friday we were very fortunate to have students from Wirreanda Secondary School's Specialist Sports Course visit out site and lead some of our senior students in sports rotations. These students were fabulously organised and knew exactly what they were doing with every session. Our staff were impressed by the responsibility shown by WSS students and our students loved the sessions. We look forward to having more opportunities such as this in the future.
Kind Regards
Penny Wilde
