From the Leadership Team
Last Friday we had a whole school assembly to present our student leaders with their badges for 2021. This is the first assembly we have been able to have since COVID last year, with an audience and it was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, carers and friends attend this occasion.
As student leaders at Pimpala Primary School, our students have a Code of Conduct which they agree to uphold by:
- doing their best to help make the school a better place.
- working for the greater school community, not just their own needs.
- acting as positive role models and leaders in all settings, including online.
- working collaboratively and restoratively as team members.
- representing the school at all times through the values of: Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
We are incredibly proud of all our students; those who were nominated for a position and those who were not successful this year. Leadership is not something which people are just born with the skills for and we recognise and congratulate all of our students for putting themselves forward and contributing to our great place. It is a journey of trial, error, practise, team work, patience, stepping up, mentoring and resilience (to name a few) that leadership develops.
Former President of South Africa and philanthropist, Nelson Mandela said:
"Lead from the back, and let others believe they are in front."
We anticipate that our student leaders will develop great skills and qualities throughout their roles this year and we look forward to nurturing them in their responsibilities.
Kind Regards
