We hope everyone had the chance to recoup and relax a little over the long weekend.

Despite quite a lot of illness and absences, our students have been working really hard to stay focused and demonstrate our values of: Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.  Please remember to keep children home if they are unwell to make sure everyone stays healthy.

Last week we were very fortunate to have some sessions led at school by one of our community elders, Auntie Nellie.  On Tuesday she worked with students from junior primary. First they read the Dreaming story 'Damper in the Sky' and then got to taste some homemade damper with honey or bush apple jam. On Wednesday Auntie Nellie worked with students in Years 3/4 and 4/5. They read the Dreaming story 'The Frog and the Two Pelicans' after which they created their own art with chalk paint. They first had to crush their own chalk and create a paint by adding glue and water.
