From the Leadership Team
If you haven't seen the posts on our Facebook page or missed the push notification and email last week, Pimpala Primary is the grateful recipient of a $12 million upgrade for facility upgrades! The areas being considered are:
- contemporary learning areas designed for collaboration and flexibility, to replace existing aged buildings
- new administration areas.
Plans for this upgrade have not commenced yet and the timeline for the process will be shared as soon as the details are confirmed. The upgrade is likely to take more than an year but the results will definitely be worth it.
The infrastructure project will provide our students world-class learning facilities and the upgrade comes in addition to the state government's $1.3 billion investment in education infrastructure. For more information, visit the Department for Education website.
We have welcomed several new Student Support Officers (SSOs) to our staff; Lia, Jodie and Jess. They are working across all areas of the school but predominantly in the middle and upper primary classes. Please say hello to them when you see them around the school.
As we head into the Term 2 holiday, please take care and enjoy the time with your children. We are aware that COVID-19 is creating frustrations with restrictions changing in response to community needs within the state and beyond. If anything changes for schools, we will keep you informed through our Facebook page and notifications through Schoolzine. You can stay informed through the SA Health website of any updates: COVID-19 Response | SA.GOV.AU: COVID-19
Kind Regards
