Last Friday we had a whole school assembly to present our student leaders with their badges for 2021. This is the first assembly we have been able to have since COVID last year, with an audience and it was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, carers and friends attend this occasion.
As student leaders at Pimpala Primary School, our students have a Code of Conduct which they agree to uphold by:
- doing their best to help make the school a better place.
- working for the greater school community, not just their own needs.
- acting as positive role models and leaders in all settings, including online.
- working collaboratively and restoratively as team members.
- representing the school at all times through the values of: Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
We are incredibly proud of all our students; those who were nominated for a position and those who were not successful this year. Leadership is not something which people are just born with the skills for and we recognise and congratulate all of our students for putting themselves forward and contributing to our great place. It is a journey of trial, error, practise, team work, patience, stepping up, mentoring and resilience (to name a few) that leadership develops.
Former President of South Africa and philanthropist, Nelson Mandela said:
"Lead from the back, and let others believe they are in front."
We anticipate that our student leaders will develop great skills and qualities throughout their roles this year and we look forward to nurturing them in their responsibilities.
Kind Regards
Penny Wilde Belinda Finlay-Smith Richard Kemp
Principal Deputy Principal Wellbeing Leader

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The School Fun Run promotes healthy and active lifestyles while helping us raise funds! It’s all about participation, with students treated to a great day as a reward for their efforts. Family support is the key to our fundraising success and we encourage everyone to get involved.
HOW DOES MY CHILD FUNDRAISE?
Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.com.au and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising revolves around this page. Once you have completed this, read through your sponsorship form, which has instructions on how to raise money and order prizes.
Students who raise just $10 will receive a reward for their effort. The more they raise, the better their reward- don’t forget to check these out in the sponsorship form! Please be aware of the risks of door knocking without adult supervision. The best people to ask for sponsorship are people you know (eg friends, family, work colleagues and neighbours).
ONLINE FUNDRAISING ONLY – NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED
Help your child raise money through the online fundraising, where students raise an average of $120. On top of raising more money, it’s also safer and easier than doorknocking and you don’t have to worry about handling money! To start fundraising online, go to your student profile page at schoolfunrun.com.au and share your online fundraising link.
GETTING INVOLVED
Not only can you support the school and students with your sponsorship but you can join in on the fun! We would love to welcome parents and family members to attend the School Colour Fun Run from 1:45pm on the day. You can join in on the run but will only be sprayed with colour at the end if there is any left over after the students are doused in colour. If you would like to volunteer to help on the day, please let the Administration Office staff know.
ORDERING PRIZES – ALL PRIZES MUST BE ORDERED ONLINE
Prizes must be ordered between 1st April and 30th April. Simply visit schoolfunrun.com.au to create / log into your Profile Page between these dates. Then click on the “CLAIM YOUR PRIZE” button and follow the prompts.
More information will be sent home soon. We look forward to seeing you at this fun-filled afternoon!

Pimpala Primary School is conducting its annual Easter Raffle as part of our major fundraising for the year. To make this a huge success can you please send donations of Easter Eggs or any other Easter goodies to the school from Monday, 1 March, 2021.
Easter falls early in the calendar this year so please help and bring your donations as soon as possible. Good Friday falls on 2nd April and Easter Monday on 5th April.
The raffle will be drawn on Tuesday, 30th March, 2021 at a Special Assembly at 2:30pm in the Hall.
Raffle tickets will be sent home soon so please support the raffle by selling as many tickets as you can. Tickets are $1 each and book of tickets will be sent home with each student. We really appreciate your support with donations and in buying the tickets.
We are seeking volunteers to be on the following Governing Council Committees:
If you would like to volunteer, please let the Administration Office staff know.
We are participating in Clean Up Australia Day on Wednesday 3rd March.
We will be collecting and properly disposing of rubbish on our school grounds and in the areas around our school.
If possible can you please send a pair of gloves, tongs and / or a bucket for your child to use to collect rubbish on Wednesday 3rd March.
We really appreciate your support.
Car parking is not available on school grounds. If you want to bring your child into the school, you must find alternative parking.
Please do not park in the kiss and drop zone, nor the culdesac near the hall. These areas are for drop off and pick up only. Council inspectors regularly monitor the free flow of traffic, and where people are parking and will give tickets if you have parked incorrectly.
Please make sure you display your Disability Parking Permit when parking in the Disabled parks. These too are monitored by Council.
We are looking for some assistance in the canteen on Fridays for 1 hour, either/or 9:00am - 10:00am or 11:30am - 12:30pm.
If you would like to volunteer and have all of your clearances, please let the Administration Office staff know.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering, please ask the Administration staff.
Please be advised that we are only taking volunteers for very specific roles for the time being, due to COVID limitations.
Wirreanda Secondary School will be hosting it's annual Open Night on Monday, 15 March, 2021. Please see their website for details.
